My condolences. Barb was a sweet kind woman who I got the pleasure of knowing through my friend Cheryl. Rest In Peace.
I worked with Barb in Police Radio. Though it could be a stressful job, we always found something humourous to talk about. She would come up with some great one liners that would catch us off-guard and leave us laughing. I'm sorry to hear of her passing and my prayers go out to her family.
This is a correction to my previous post. I meant to write rest in peace not piece. Barb would be laughing right now which is why I had to correct the error. She would expect no less from me.

There are friends, and then there is Barb. She was the friend everyone wishes for and had in their lives. We could talk about anything. She was there for me in good times and bad. I will miss the times we spent sitting in her beautiful back yard that she took so much pride in. She used to tell me what she was most proud of in her life were her boys Mark and Matt and her granddaughter Cassie. I've heard stories about them all, along with those of her siblings. And to Ted, I am grateful for all he has done for her throughout the years. You meant the world to her. She had more love to give than anyone I had the honor of knowing. I will miss her tremendously but she will not be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and all who knew her. Rest in peace my friend. I love you and you will be forever in my heart.

I’ve had such difficulty trying to put into words what Barb meant to us. It’s hard to recap almost 33 years of life and all the memories that come with it. We were best friends. We watched our children grow.
Mark playong basketball with friends after school the coming home and eating a whole box of cereal.
Matt getting involved with the computer world and always helping is mere mortals.
Mark being sworn in as a Marine and off to boot camp.
Matt getting married and having Cassie - And all of the stories of Cassie as she grew.
All the trips to Georgia and all the trips to Cincinnati to be with her family
All of Marks adventures with the Marines
Hours of canasta - she beat me every time!
Barb was part of our family - almost every holiday, birthday and just everyday cookouts, and clambakes.
We had summer adventures going to antique shops, toy stores specializing in toys from our childhood.
We spoke almost daily - just like her and Ellen.
She enjoyed her daily calls from Matt on his way home from work.
We comforted each other during our losses
We celebrated with each other during times of joy.
We shared our life views and beliefs.
She remembered growing up on a broccoli farm when her name was Anne - said it was another lifetime.
She loves Ted and was so grateful to him for all of his support and help throughout the years - she could always count on him to be there when she needed him most.
So many memories- thank you Barb for all of them!
The truth I know about Barb is this - she loved her family like no other. She was so very proud of her boys and the men they have become. She loved so deeply.
She will be forever in my heart. I love you Barb!
