Eddie was a good friend of my brother, Charlie (Bud) Fronzek. Eddie and Charlie served mass together for years. They both went to St. Edward High School. In their early years, they used to take their BB guns across the tracks and hunt rats. Eeek! But they would have a good time just being young boys. Charlie used to love to go to the Eddie’s house on St. Stephen’s Day to have coins tossed at him, a Polish tradition. Eddie told my brother about Polish traditions—and my brother always had a live for Poles from that time on. He still gets a Polish newspaper here in Buffalo , NY, where he now lives. All in all, Eddie had an enormous impact on my brother’s and my life. May his memory be a comfort to all those who loved him.
