I worked with Mark at Cleveland EMS in the late 70's. He and I started around the same time. Mark was a fun person to be around and I always enjoyed my conversations with him. He could make anybody laugh for sure with his larger than life personality. It's only been recently that I was made aware of his passing but wanted to make sure to let the family know how much Mark meant to us all. 1. Giving me a ride on the back of his motorcycle (1982), as fast as he could in back of Charity Hospital, while I screamed like a little girl... I was!
2. The time he gave me chewing tobacco that I thought was bubble gum. He was laughing hysterically, until I swallowed it. His eyes got real big and as my face heated up he picked me up and ran for the bathroom in the ER. He noticed the hopper as we passed the utility room and just as he stopped.... well, you know!
3. My 'dad' met my dad at a bar after work. He said it went something like this: 'My daughter works with you guys.' "Oh yeah, really? What's her name" 'Carol.' "No &*$@! That's my daughter!! Let me buy ya a drink!" I thought to myself OMG. My whole world is imploding!!

I didn't know Mark as Mark, but as "Skinny." That was his nickname in HS. About a year ago I reconnected with Mark after 45 years!!! The last time I talked with him was in high school. I was so looking forward to talking with him this year. I remember Mark as jovial, always smiling, funny and thoughtful. God's grace and peace to his family.

We couldn't have asked for a better friend and neighbor, than Mark. It's already hard to be outside and not see or hear from you.
