Scott was a treasured part of our lives since the late 1970's and served as an usher for our wedding in November of 1979. He was kind to babysit our two children at times and they always refer to him as "Uncle Scott". I was able to be present to him this past year as he recovered from his surgery and the subsequent cancer treatments both Chemo and Radiation. I only hope that I was able to comfort him in those debilitating days. His Oncologist Dr. Rich was extremely positive for remission of his cancer and Scott was doing well when I last saw him. We were waiting for a defining CT Scan to track his recovery.
I was alerted to his apparent MIA almost three weeks ago and checked in with the municipal authorities to learn of his passing. It is still a numbness that will take some time to recover from. For those knew his love of his "kids" Angus and Phoebe, a dear neighbor family adopted them. Sadly Angus, a Chemo survivor himself, took a turn for the worst and was humanely sent to the rainbow bridge. Phoebe is flourishing in her new forever home.
May our friend, Scott, Rest In Peace.
