Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder, if they really made a difference in this world? We are all here today because we have been touched by the presence and countless experiences that we had with Elwyn Mehlman…
These are just a few of the traits that We will remember him by:
— His Strong work ethic - he worked long and hard on everything he put his heart and mind into.
— His Sense of humor in life - he could find reason to laugh at almost anything imaginable… that failure is ok, just get back up, laugh it off and keep moving forward.
— He Loved his wife and family - he loved Diane with his entire heart…he knew how blessed he was with Diane and his daughters and extended family
— He Enjoyed his friends and buddies - playing cards, volleyball, golfing - he would always perk up if we talked about golf.
— Amazingly creative as an artist or illustrator - nationally known and would create art that no other could replicate.
But to me, he was a business owner, a volleyball partner, a golfing buddy, someone who simply enjoyed some laughs together…he was a Father to me and most importantly, a genuine friend.
While it is extremely difficult to say farewell to someone who has been an integral part of our lives, we celebrate the gift of knowing someone who lived life so well. We are all grateful for each and every time we talked, laughed and shared together, and for the cherished memories and lessons learned through someone who taught all who knew him what “goodness” is all about.
So I say to you, no need to wonder? - Elwyn made a difference in this world that only God could measure…and although he is not physically here with us anymore, his memories and presence is within all of us forever …encouraging us to be the best that we can be, to enjoy life, to laugh, and to make a positive difference in this world, just like he did.
Peace and Love,
Mark —
