George D. Hakos

George D. Hakos was born on August 17, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late George and Elsie Hakos. Following high school, George became a very proud member of the United States Marine Corp. After his time in service, he moved on to become a steel worker. From there, he gained employment at General Motors as a millwright, where he retired after 32 years of dedication. George was a race car and football enthusiast, especially for the Cleveland Browns. George passed away on March 13, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elsie Hakos, and his best friend, Michael Sforza. George is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Maria Hakos; his loving daughters, Heidi Thrope (Ron) and Nicole Misconin (Michael); his cherished grandchildren, Chelsea (Mike), Zee (Stephan), Rebecca (Kevin), Ryan, and Joshua; great-granddaughter, Julia; his brother, David Hakos (Kathy); his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and all his nieces and nephews.
