Judith Simmerly

Judith Kay Simmerly, 79, of North Olmsted, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 3, 2021. She was born on November 8, 1941 in Evansville, IN to the late Richard and Olive (nee Kendle) Hollingsworth. She will be missed by her daughters Jan (Jim) Camerato, Lynn Dudley, Laurie (Paul) Leaf, and Debbie (Pat) Cosgrove; 10 cherished grandchildren; 8 treasured great-grandchildren; sister Sue Varosky; sister-in-law Carol Simmerly; and many extended family and friends. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Ronald Simmerly. Judy graduated from John Marshall High School, Cleveland in 1959. She was a long-time resident of North Olmsted and member of Westlake United Methodist Church. Before her retirement, she worked as a receptionist for the JCPenney Styling Salon. A memorial service will be held at Westlake United Methodist Church 27650 Center Ridge Road, Westlake, Ohio on November 6, 2021 at 2 PM. The family is accepting friends and family 1 hour prior and 1 hour after the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Judy’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Alzheimer’s Association. Masks are required for ages 4 and up.
