Mark was a cherished friend and volunteer at Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity's ReStore. He contributed countless hours and abundant cheerfulness to our mission to advance affordable homeownership. He had the patience of saint; no job was too big or too small for him. Mark was an inspiration to both staff and volunteers. For these and many other reasons, Mark was voted Habitat Volunteer of the Year in 2013, and would have won it every year afterwards if repeats were allowed! What a guy. Even in illness, he kept coming. We watched his decline, but he had no room for sadness. He had strong faith. He leaves behind a strong legacy and many friends who miss him.John Habat, Pres/CEO, Cleveland Habitat
