Neil D. Rowe
October 30, 1938 - April 8, 2022
Livestream available at: https://www.stpaulwestlake.org for Neil's service on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, 10:00 AM. NEIL D. ROWE of North Olmsted, Ohio returned to the Lord on April 8, 2022 at the age of 83. He was born in Washington Court House, Ohio on October 30, 1938 to the late Jesse and Ruth (nee Farrell) Rowe. He was an engineering designer for NASA Glenn Research Center for his entire 50-year career. He lived a faith-filled life and deeply loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 55 years Beverly (nee Felder), children Lynn (Hans) Larsen and Christian (Snezana) and grandchildren Jack, Christopher, Eric and Elise Larsen and Christian and Luke Rowe. He was dearly loved by his brother Larry (Dawn) Rowe, his in-laws, Bob (Marsha) Felder, Judi (Robert deceased) McMahon, Shirley Sheets (deceased), Chuck (Jane) Felder and many nephews and nieces. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke loudly to all who interacted with him, sensing his kindness, love for God, his family and friends. Many know of his hobbies such as fly fishing, hunting, golfing, baseball and bowling. What many may not know of is his servant’s heart that he did not talk about. Not only did he pick up a hammer and nails for his family and friends on various construction projects, but he also took on other acts of kindness such as feeding the homeless in downtown Cleveland, volunteering as a scout master for Royal Rangers, promoting conservation through organizations he supported, praying for others through his weekly men’s group, offering wisdom and direction as a church elder and being willing to work a second job to support his family by teaching Math at Polaris. One of our favorite traits about him was his ability to understate the obvious. One favorite example is when he went hunting with his son in extremely inclement weather with the wind whipping and temperatures hovering around zero. As the two hiked a good distance out into a field, he turned to his son and said “It’s a little chilly out today”. (Yeah, Dad, it definitely is!) His kind and quiet spirit that allowed him to roll with all the chaos his family could generate, was a gift that we will always treasure. He was an excellent role model who walked humbly with God and we will all try to live in his example. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. A celebration of his life service will be held Wed., April 20, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 27993 Detroit Road, Westlake, Ohio, please meet at the church. The family respectfully requests that any flowers be fragrant free due to family allergies. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the charity of your choice. Online memories and condolences may be left on Neil's memorial page at www.sunsetfuneralandcemetery.com
