I also had the pleasure of having Dr. Paul Skalski for COM 303. I ended up taking two more classes that he taught. He was the coolest college professor…period. He became a friend in a way. He was willing to give out his cell phone number….and I used it. Emails like the one posted by Kaila show how fun and encouraging he was as a professor. I will never forget this man. RIP P$
Even though I only met him a few times, he had stayed at my place when he went to a conference with Kim and a few other times as well, he was a very polite and nice young man. My heart goes out to his loved ones.
It grieves me to have to say goodbye to you, Paul. You were one of the best and most influential people in my life and I am so lucky to have known you. Rest peacefully my dear, dear friend.
Paul, I never had the pleasure of knowing you personally but know your mother for years. I wanted to celebrate your life today with all the other people that love and respect you. Professionally your accomplishments were plentiful and worthy of applause. Thank you for all your contributions. Most of all, thank you for having such a beautiful bond with your mother……she will have forty years of wonderful memories to carry her through her time of grief. She couldn't have had a more loving, sensitive, caring son than you.
I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Paul Skalski this semester out of pure coincidence. As a sophomore at Cleveland State and a Communication major I took COM 303. I was one of the youngest students in his class. Paul was an inspiration to me, he would always say that if you could pass this class, you should really consider graduate school, my goal was to pass that class, and as the youngest student in that class, I was making it my number one priority. When we got our first papers back and our tests, they always had stickers on them, he was unlike any college professors I have ever had. Paul had such an impact on my life, I am so thankful I got to meet him, and all of my prayers go out to those who were a part of his life. I am so sorry for your loss.

Paul was like my brother from another mother. I learned a lot from him and I can say he was my first friend at CSU. Some of the most memorable moments were his eclectic jukebox requests that ranged from Katy Perry to Pantera to LMFAO. He was brilliant and a genius in so many unique ways. He will really be missed. Here's to you, buddy!
Paul, I never got to meet you personally, but the way my boyfriend and friends who knew you as their professor, friend and advisor, I felt like I had. Everyone loved and admired you; you were a huge part of the CSU family, and it'll never be the same without you. My condolences to Lori, your family, colleagues, and friends. You will always be with the CSU family in spirit and your legacy will live on, Rest in Peace!
Paul was my thesis adviser only last year. He not only helped me write a paper and earn my master's degree but was a friend throughout the entire process as well. His letter of recommendation got me my first job in academia at Kent State this past year. Paul impacted my life as a scholar in many ways and I sad to have lost both a mentor and a friend.
Paul you were my world and my one true love! You have and will always be so precious to me!! I love you my Prince.
