Dick was a true friend and brother in Christ. How often he personally reached out to me and my family in Christian love I cannot count. One example would be giving me a job when I was unemployed.
One of my fondest memories of Dick was when he was in the Sunday School class that I taught based on the book The Incomparable Christ by J. Oswald Sanders. The book and study were a great blessing to Dick and over the years he bought numerous copies to give to many acquaintances to encourage and bless them in their times of need.
Although God’s providence eventually placed us 600 miles apart, there was the blessings of frequent phone calls and times of edification in Christ.
Although there is always sorrow and grief at home goings, there is also joy know that Dick is in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
