Russell E. Rosenau

Russell E. Rosenau, 94, of Berea, Ohio passed away on November 30, 2021. He was born on February 20, 1927 to the late Albert and Esther Rosenau of Elyria. Russell proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII, while also lifting spirits of his fellow soldiers as a big band pianist. He went on to graduate from Case Western Reserve University and retired from 3M management after 40 years. He was a devout Christian who served as an usher and treasurer at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Berea. He will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband and father. His hard work ethic, kindness, and generosity to his family and all who knew him will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Shirley Rosenau; children Scott (Donna), Tracy, and Sharon Rosenau; grandchildren Scott and Christopher (deceased) Rosenau, and brother Clifford (Janice) Rosenau. He was also uncle to many nieces and nephews, and loved by many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his brother Walton (Ann) Rosenau of Rocky River. Private services will take place at the Sunset Chapel. He will be privately laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Berea, or by honoring his love of the four-foots via donations to the ASPCA.
