William E. Baum, 66, of Brunswick Hills, Ohio passed away on October 22, 2021. He was born on September 15,1955 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Norman Baum and Mary (Eugene) Kekic. He proudly served in The United States Army during the Vietnam War and retired as a tradesman in construction. He will be fondly remembered as an outdoor enthusiast and found great enjoyment fishing, golfing, traveling, and cheering on the Cleveland Browns in the Dawg Pound Section as a 20-year season ticket holder! Most importantly he loved his family. He will be missed by his loving wife Ann of 46 years; dear father of Jennifer (David) Cogan, Allison (Charlie) Woodward, Aimee (Jeffrey) Anzalone, cherished grandfather of Haley, Benjamin, Hannah, Chaz, Whitney, Braden, and Gabriella; brother of Sharon, David, Brian, Darlene, and Susan; dear uncle of numerous nieces and nephews; many dear friends and extended family members; and canine companion Mabel. He is preceded in death by his siblings Norman, Deborah; brother-in-law's Tom and Ernie. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Masks are encouraged. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, 10:00 AM, St. Ambrose Parish, 929 Pearl Road Brunswick, OH 44212. Please meet at the church. Burial with military honors will follow mass at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in William’s memory to St Ambrose Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio 44212: Attention AA Group.
