Our condolences to Debra , family and friends.
She was an amazing teacher, our son took every history class she taught at SHS . Her teaching style was perfect from her traveling experiences and also humor.
May memories be a measure of comfort. Sincerely, Roger & Ruth Lockwood
I feel so happy that we were able to reconnect after I graduated from SHS in 1977. My favorite subject in high school was history and SHS offered an unbelievable amount of choices and I think she taught most of them. I think she was the patron saint of putting up with "Spirited students" How she put up with me and my group in Comparative Religion by itself would be enough for sainthood. She made a huge impact on me and I still have a deep love of history thanks in a great part to her. You were loved and will be missed.
Many moons ago I had Mrs. Hunt as my Ancient History teacher, she was so enthusiastic and engaging and I loved hearing about her travels to Egypt, with her long blonde hair she definitely stood out aboard and could cause a flurry of attention.
She left a lasting impression on me as a 15 year old, dont be afraid to explore and look beyond in that knowledgeus power which carried over into my adulthood and for this I'm forever grateful.
