Jean Anne Hutt's Obituary
Jean Anne Hutt, 82, was born on April 11, 1941, to the late Theodore and Jean Gurney.
Jean passed away on May 26, 2023. Beloved wife of 54 years to the late Marland P. Hutt, Jr. Cherished mother of Debra (Jeff) Romaniw. Jean also leaves her special friend, Robert Burke.
Jean attended Kent State University, where she met her husband and graduated with her bachelor’s degree. She then obtained her master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University. For 30 years, she taught at Saline High School in Saline, Michigan. Her teaching specialty was Ancient History. Jean was a Fulbright Scholar, which led to her traveling to Egypt and Israel. She loved to travel and even went back to Egypt two more times. From teaching history, she retired to Florida and then moved to Ohio to be near her daughter.
Jean loved to spend time with her family. Her daughter was her world, and she was such an amazing mom. Jean had a great sense of humor, which she passed on to her daughter. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation is Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, where the visitation will conclude with prayers. A private graveside service will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio 44273.
