Albert R. Nielsen's Obituary
Albert R. Nielsen, 94, of Columbia Station passed away on January 12, 2021. Born in East Cleveland to the late Raymond G. and Edith (nee Wentz) Nielsen on March 30, 1926. Besides his parents, Albert is preceded in death by his wife Genevieve, daughter Frances, brother Hans, and sister Barbara Mae.
Albert is survived by his children Burlin (Linda) Clevenger and Mavis (Konrad) Huffnagel; grandchildren Douglas (Tanya) Huffnagel, Victoria (Angelo) Grace, Elizabeth (Jeff) Kodysz, Cheryl (Jack) Curry; step-grandchildren Kimberly (John) Middleton and Jeffrey (Leeann) Downs; great-grandchildren Lyndsey (Matt) Lee, Gabrielle (Thaddeus) Ivory, Anthony LoPiccolo, and Christian LoPiccolo; step- great-grandchildren Lauren, Ian, and Hayley.
Albert enjoyed dancing, visiting Florida with his family, and sports. He coached sports for several years and never missed a Cleveland game, a child’s, or grandchild’s game. He led a simple and happy life. He will be dearly missed by so many family members and friends.
A visitation will be held at the Sunset Chapel located 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 12 noon until 2pm with the funeral service beginning promptly at 2pm.
Albert will be laid to rest next to his daughter and wife at Sunset Memorial Park.
