Albert Anthony Ricchetti's Obituary
Albert Anthony Ricchetti, lovingly known as Al, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 7, 2021, following a yearlong battle with lung cancer.
Al leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Sandra (nee Schmidt); children Christine (Spenser) Vago, Anthony Ricchetti, and Michael Ricchetti; grandchildren Joshua and Zachary Vago; siblings Raymond (Mary Ott) and Janice (Pete) Trunzo; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Al served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1969. He returned to college and received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Fenn/ Cleveland State University in 1974. Al spent his working career in the steel industry with J & L Steel and LTV Steel.
Al was a talented woodworker and enjoyed his boyhood love of model trains and classic cars all of his life.
A visitation will be held at the Sunset Chapel located at 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070 on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 5pm until 8pm. A funeral will be held at the Sunset Chapel on Friday, August 20, 2021, at 2pm. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
