Alice May Polomsky's Obituary
Alice May Polomsky, Age 85 of Parma, died April 24, 2012.She was born on 10/21/1926 to George and Lulu (Mack) Kalnofske in Cleveland, and graduated from West Tech High School in Cleveland. She married Edward Polomsky on May 27, 1950, and they were married 56 years until his death in 2007. Together they raised 2 daughters, Barbara and Nancy, and 4 cocker spaniels in North Royalton and at their summer home in Huron. They enjoyed bowling, gatherings at the cottage, and time with family and friends. Alice could usually be found either in the kitchen, with her flowers, or with a good book, but her best time was reserved for her girls, and later, with her grandkids.After Ed retired they enjoyed traveling and more opportunities to share time with lifelong friends. She was a faithful member of the North Royalton United Methodist Church, and will be greatly missed by all.She is survived by her daughter Barbara and son-in-law Paul Martin of Sarasota, FL, her daughter Nancy and son-in-law John Hadam of Ashland OH, 5 grandchildren, Dr. David Hadam and his wife Shawnette, Daniel Hadam and wife Cheryl, Christopher Martin and wife Kristin, Jill Vidrine and husband Patrick, and Heather Martin; and 3 great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Ethan, and Danny. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed, grandson Michael Martin, and her brother George.The family will receive friends in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, from noon to 2 pm on SATURDAY, April 28th, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 P.M.
