Alvin Bernard Williams' Obituary
Alvin Bernard Williams, age 76, of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025. Born on November 10, 1949, Alvin was the beloved son of the late Charles and Anne Williams.
Alvin lived a life marked by intelligence, compassion, and dedication. He was admired by all who knew him for his caring nature and memorable presence. Friends, family, and colleagues often spoke highly of his character, recalling the warmth and wisdom he shared so freely.
He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Michelle Williams, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage since their wedding on September 22, 1990. Alvin also leaves behind his cherished son, Michael Williams, and treasured grandchild, Kimani Williams, who brought him immense joy. He is further survived by his brother, Sydney (Carolyn) Williams, his dear friends, Moses Durden, and Susan and Dave Weybrecht, and a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, and other beloved family and friends.
Alvin’s passion for athletics was a defining part of his life. He found great fulfillment in track and field, not only as a competitor but as a mentor. For more than 30 years, he dedicated himself to coaching the girls’ teams at Hathaway Brown School and Magnificat High School, inspiring countless young athletes to strive for excellence both on and off the track. His influence extended far beyond the field, shaping lives with encouragement, discipline, and kindness.
Alvin’s legacy is one of love, service, and inspiration. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many students he guided throughout his remarkable career.
