Anda Abols' Obituary
Anda Abols, age 56, passed away on February 25, 2023 in Medina, Ohio, after a valiant and uncomplaining 11/2 year battle with cancer. Anda is survived by her mother Inese, brother Erik, niece Marta, Vija/ Robert Severin and family, Egils/Janice Abols and family, as well as many friends in the U.S. and relatives in Latvia. Anda is preceded in death by her father Agris Abols, grandparents Elza and Peters Leitis and Laima and Olgerts Kirsteins.
Anda worked for the IRS for 16 years and was the recipient twice of the Wings of Excellence Award. This award is given to Federal employees whose outstanding performances, either on or off the job, have served as an inspiration to others and/or brought credit to Federal service. For many years Anda advocated and worked with IRS employees to fill entire school buses with presents for under privileged children.
Anda loved to cook, do crafts, throw parties and go to the beach. We who are left behind are celebrating her rare kindness, humor and her way of looking at things the way most of us do not.
