Andrew "Andy" Raymond Berchin's Obituary
Andrew "Andy" Raymond Berchin, age 66, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025. He was born on February 4, 1959, to Andrew Frank Berchin and Betty Berchin (nee Sforzo).
Andy is survived by his devoted wife, Natalie; his loving daughters, Amanda (Scott), Lauren (Michael), and Chelsea (Kristen); and his cherished grandchildren, Arabella Leigh and Tyler Andrew. He is also survived by his siblings, John (Sue), Mary (Ned), and his twin brother, Michael (Kathy).
Andy dedicated 23 years of his life to serving the community as a firefighter for the Olmsted Falls Fire Department. After retiring from the fire service, he continued his commitment to safety and public service as a Safety Director for Bastion Technologies at NASA. He also shared his knowledge by teaching Heart Saver CPR courses through Southwest General Hospital.
He had a lifelong love of cars, always eager to keep up with the latest styles and never hesitating to trade in for something new. He also found great joy in working outdoors and maintaining the land around his home.
Above all, Andy’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. Whether gathered around the table, or simply enjoying each other’s company, those moments meant everything to him.
Andy leaves behind his cherished family, many dear friends and his coworkers who will remember his loyalty, humor, and the steady presence he brought to every room. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
A service to honor Andy will be held on October 23, starting at 10 am, at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, N. Olmsted, 44070. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the American Heart Association Donate Here.
