Andrew Franklin Potantus' Obituary
Andrew F. Potantus, 82, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Born on November 24, 1938 to the late Andrew Jr. and Mary Potantus.
Besides his parents, Andrew is preceded to Heaven by his brother Kenneth John. Andrew is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet; children Barbara (Bill) Meyers, Mark (Brenda Rarick) Potantus, and Matthew (Carolyn) Potantus; grandchildren Joseph Kean, Ryan Kean, Stephanie Najar, Bill Meyers, Jaclyn DeTullio, Noah Potantus, and Hannah Potantus; seven great-grandchildren; sister Barbara (John) Smithrick; and many other loving family and friends.
Andrew participated in sports as a player, coach, and umpire. He loved watching his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and he was a big Cleveland sports fan. He was a hard-working accountant for BP for many years and was very active at Gethsemane Lutheran Church and Lakewood Lutheran School. Andrew especially looked forward to family vacations and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In the days to come, he will be dearly missed. All services will take place privately for Andrew’s family.
