In Annette’s words:
Born in Cleveland, grew up in Shaker Heights, graduated from Shaker Heights High School, attended Fenn College. Married Andrew Hrivnak in 1947. Was active in Campfire Girls, 4H, PTA, and Sunday school. Volunteered at the One World Shoppe for over 20 years and acted as an election judge for 38 years. Belonged to Olmsted Community Church since 1955 and served on many committees. Attended classes at the Institute for Learning in Retirement at Baldwin Wallace and Tri-C Elders Campus. Travelled with her parents while growing up. Camped with her husband and three daughters across the United States. Travelled with her husband to Europe several times. Took her grandson, Andy, to Alaska and her granddaughter, Lizzie, to Hawaii. Spent several days a week swimming and taking water exercise classes. Enjoyed sewing and knitting because she loved creating. Liked writing about her life experiences and was a member of the ILR Writer’s Group. The most important part of her life was her love of family.
A quote she would like to pass on.
“Have integrity. Your yes should mean yes, your no should mean no. Be the person you say you are... It is not always easy, but it is always valuable.” Stephen M. Berry
Annette lived a long, full life, was dearly loved, and will be missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Olmsted Community Church or charity of choice. Services for Annette are private.
