Anthony V. Butera's Obituary
Anthony V. Butera, age 82, of North Olmsted, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018.
Born February 16, 1936 in Connellsville, PA to the late Salvatore and Anna Butera. Anthony enjoyed collecting many things, such as broncos, elephants, antique cars and planes. He was a handyman and could fix anything. He kept his yard and his cars immaculate. He worked for 45 years as a millwright at Ford Motor Company and was a proud member of the U.S. Army Reserves, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 621, and American Legion Post 610. Anthony’s grandchildren were the apple of his eye and family was the most important thing to him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Cherished husband of 50 years to Shirley Butera (nee Heiby); cherished father of Eric Butera and Nicole Butera; beloved grandfather of Diana, Stan, Aidan, Madison, and Hailey; loving brother of Victor, Mary, George, Dolores, and Caroline (all deceased); dearest uncle and friend of many.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 4PM – 8PM in the Westwood Abbey Mausoleum Chapel in Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070 where funeral service will commence on Wednesday, at 2PM. Entombment immediately following.
Memorial contributions in Anthony’s name are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
