Anthony J. LaGuardia's Obituary
Anthony J. LaGuardia, age 87, of North Olmsted, OH passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2019.
He was born December 9, 1931, in Cleveland, son of the late Gaetano and Mary Grace “Katie” LaGuardia. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and he was blessed with the voice of an angel. He was an incredibly friendly man who was loved by all. His favorite places were home and church. Anthony will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to meet him.
Devoted husband of 68 years to Mary Esther LaGuardia (nee McQuaid); cherished father of Theresa (Timothy) Romanini, Mary Kay (Gary Jenkins) LaGuardia, and Anne (Ronald) Kenzig; beloved grandfather of Tony Filipic, Kristin Sarkisian, Kelly (Chris) Sheffer, Ronald (Kelly) Kenzig; loving great grandfather of Rachael, Kaycey, and Emily Sarkisian. He also had a special adopted daughter, Arlette Haeberle.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 4PM – 8PM in the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 28, at 10AM at St. Richard Catholic Church, 26855 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070. Interment immediately following in Sunset Memorial Park.
