Anthony Lesh's Obituary
Anthony ‘Tony’ Taylor Lesh DVM, 78, of Fairview Park, passed away on June 6, 2021. Tony was born to the late Howard and Josephine Lesh. He is preceded in death by his sister Georgia Lesh Laurie.
Tony is the beloved husband of 18 years of Nancy L. (nee Schmotzer) Lesh; father to Samantha (Patrick) Ogden and Ben (Lisa) Lesh; he was the uncle to Carlyn (Daniel) and great-uncle to Liv but saw them as a daughter and granddaughter; grandfather to Ruth, Maggie, Ryan, Ella, and Ainsley; brother-in-law to Jack (Marilyn) Schmotzer and Paul Schmotzer; as well as uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Tony was a veterinarian with Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for over forty years and was a partner in his own practice for thirty-eight years. He was an avid boater, fisherman, and hunter. He loved taking his children out on the boat to fish and thoroughly enjoyed his fishing and day trips with his close friend, Norm.
He traveled to Africa over twenty-five times having visited almost all the countries to bring animals to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and to take people on Safari trips. He loved his two cats George and Orca but dearly missed his late dog Marti and cat Sam who have crossed Rainbow Bridge.
He will be dearly missed.
A visitation will be held at the Sunset Chapel located at 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted 44070 on Saturday, June 12 from 4pm until 8pm. A funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 13 at the Sunset Chapel at 2pm.
