Arlie Gregg's Obituary
Arlie Gregg, age 89, passed away May 6, 2016.
Born April 10, 1927 in Newport, TN to the late Edward and Nishie Gregg; dear husband of 52 years to Betty Gregg (nee Evans); cherished father of Karen Beaver (Darrell), Sandra Kappahagen (deceased), Cathy Rachid (Jimmy), Arlie “Budd” Gregg Jr. and Blaine Gregg (Larry); adoring grandfather of Kristie Davis, Brian Beaver (Jen) and Brandon Beaver (Mindy); great grandfather of Taylor, Morgan, Cody, Christopher, Brianna, Brenin, Brice and Brooklyn . Arlie is preceded in death by six siblings.
Arlie worked for many years as a machinist and retired from Alcoa Aluminum. He was known as “Papa” not only to his family, but to everyone who knew him. Arlie was a kind and loving soul who never knew a stranger and will be dearly missed, especially by his furry companion and Chihuahua, Honey.
The family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to the staff at Brookdale Hospice for the loving care Arlie received; Karla, Lynn, Tonia and Wilma.
Visitation Monday, May 9, 2016 from 5 – 8 PM at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070 where funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s association PO Box 74924 Cleveland, OH 44194 in Arlie’s memory.
