Arnold L. Rice's Obituary
Arnold L. Rice, 84, of Cleveland, passed away May 18, 2017. Arnie was born on July 3, 1932 in Uniontown, PA, son of the late Phillip and Annabelle (nee Vitti) Rice.
In 1952, he married his loving and devoted wife, AnnaBelle. Together they had three children; David, Cheryl and Donna.
Arnie worked at the General Motors Assembly Plant in Brookpark for 41 years, where he made many friends over the years. In the summer, Arnie loved to garden. He especially loved to grow tomatoes. He delighted in sharing his bountiful harvest with friends, family and acquaintances and everyone looked forward to that time of year. In the colder months, Arnie kept busy by creating hand-made rugs. No one left his home without at least one rug. Arnie was an extremely generous man and never hesitated to help a friend in need.
Arnie will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 64 years, AnnaBelle (nee Huffman); daughters Cheryl Rice Rockmael (Les) and Donna Bahner (Pete); grandchildren Alex and Peter Bahner; brother Tom Rice (Kathy) and sister, Lillian Rogers (James – deceased), of Uniontown, PA. Arnie was preceded in death by his son, David. He will be missed by many friends and relatives, as well as the old-timers from the Post and Beam.
Visitations will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 6 – 8 PM and Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 11 AM – 12 PM at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH.
