Aslaug Greta Trenka's Obituary
Aslaug Greta Trenka, better known as "Greta," 85, of Strongsville, passed away October 30, 2020.
Beloved wife of the late Richard; loving mother of Lisa Trenka; devoted grandmother of Brandon and Rachel Willaman; dear sister of the late Hulda Oskarsdottir and Marino Oskarsson who survives; devoted companion of Ingvi Palmi Gretar. Aslaug was one of eleven children but the majority were adopted into different families due to the Depression.
Greta was raised on a large sheep farm in Iceland and came to America when she was in her early 20’s. She was employed at World Publishing Co. where they made Bibles. She then became a homemaker and raised her family. She also worked part-time as a home health caregiver. Greta loved cooking and took great care of everyone.
A Memorial Luncheon will be held from 12-2 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2020, at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted.
