Barbara A. Butcher's Obituary
Barbara A. Butcher, age 76, of Olmsted Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2016.
Barbara was born in Cleveland, OH on September 9, 1940 to Walter E. and Elizabeth A. Oehme (both deceased). She is the loving wife of nearly 53 years to the late Dennis F.C. Butcher; cherished mother of Patricia L. Brice (John), Denise M. Berry (David) and Dennis R. Butcher (Anna Moscioni); adoring grandmother of Brandon Berry, Jennifer Price (Richard), Nicholas, Jacob & Lucas Butcher; beloved sister of Jane Lohman (Dennis), Roy Oehme (Pamela) and James Oehme; former sister-in-law and great friend of Kathleen Oehme. Barbara will also be missed by her nieces and nephews Dominic & Dana Oehme, Michael Lohman (Stacy), Michelle Lee (Bradley) and Melissa Manner (Kevin).
Barbara was known for wearing many hats, being a jack of all trades and for always being the life of the party. Putting her family first, she always made sure everyone was well fed and having fun. Barbara also had many hobbies, such as traveling, art, painting, cooking and to many’s surprise, even fishing! Her traveling trips often included her crew of longtime girlfriends, warm climates and comradery. Despite Barbara’s spunkiness and zest for life, her first priority was always family; each of her grandchildren will forever cherish the unique and special bond that Barbara customized to each of their individuality. Her kindness and fun loving personality will be truly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Visitation will take place on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 3 – 5 PM and 7 – 9 PM at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070, where funeral services will commence on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, 10 AM.
