Barbara Ann Lesko's Obituary
Barbara Ann Lesko, 85, of Strongsville, Ohio, formerly of Berea, Ohio, passed away on February 23rd, 2024.
Barbara was born May 2nd, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, to parents Theobald and Martha Schmidt (née Dianiska) and was married for 63 years to Donald Lesko, who passed away in February of 2022. She was the church secretary at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Berea before accepting a position as Executive Assistant to the Director of the Ohio Turnpike Commission, a position she held for fifteen years. Barbara was a dedicated reader of mystery novels and was skilled at crochet, regularly crocheting blankets as gifts for family and friends. She was also a great lover of art, and frequented regional art fairs in pursuit of watercolors and pottery from local artists to add to her collection. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed making them laugh with her quick and witty sense of humor. She is survived by her sister Marti Martin, son Donald Lesko Jr., daughter Susan Lesko, grandson Foster Lesko-Dixon, and her best friend Norrita Hull. She will be dearly missed.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, April 6th at 10:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 276 E. Bagley Rd., Berea, Ohio 44017, 440-243-1144.
