Barbara Russell's Obituary
Barbara E. Russell, 74, of Berea passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2020. Born in Premier, WV to the late Robert and Evelyn (nee Lambert) Ford on September 26, 1945. Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Larry Russell; loving children Rhonda (Michael) Kloock, Regina (Ray) Bulka, and Larry (Alina) Russell; precious grandchildren Kyle, Keith, Stephanie, Brandon, Makayla, Emily, Marissa, Max, and Madeline; three sisters who were her absolute best friends Tina, Irene, and Cindy; nieces, nephews, church family, and so many more loving family members and friends.
Barbara enjoyed collecting cookbooks as she loved to cook and bake plenty for everyone who crossed her path. Whether it was for dinner, a birthday, someone was sick, or holiday, there was always a bounty of food to be shared -- especially potatoes. No one ever left without eating something and surely didn’t leave hungry. Barbara is known as the ‘international garage sale picker.’ If there was a sign advertising a garage sale, she was there (even if it was in Canada). When all was said and done, Barbara’s true joy came from her faith and trust in the Lord and her family. As family and friends visited her home, they always felt her heart’s warmth and gentleness and, in the days to come, those who love her will miss Barbara dearly.
A visitation will be held for Barbara on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 5pm – 8pm at the Sunset Chapel located 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted 44070. A funeral service will take place at the same location on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, please make charitable donations to the Lorain Avenue Church of Christ 13501 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, OH 44111
