Betty H. Hamski's Obituary
(nee Hedervary), Betty Hamski passed away at 94 years old on September 17, 2020. She once lamented that she had not done anything important in her life. That was one of the few times that she was wrong! She was a wonderful mother to her three kids: the late Daniel Weed, the late David Weed, and the late Debra Hanson (nee Weed). And as they were just leaving the nest to go out on their own, she remarried (to Frank J. Hamski), and started all over again with pre-teen daughters Karen J. Buzzard (Robert) and Linda M. Hamski. She gave all her energy to her children and family. Betty and Frank also loved their cat Tabsy and their dog Cupcake. Being very organized led to office work, the last being at Racom in Parma, Ohio. She loved to entertain: Back in the day, Betty and Frank threw huge holiday family gatherings and clambakes with all the aunts, uncles, and cousins. They also loved to travel (mostly in their Winnebago), visiting almost every State, Mexico, Canada, and Europe, not to mention several cruises. She liked Talisman roses (yellow with orange tips), cooking & baking, butter pecan ice cream and golfing (but not gardening, raisins, onions, or sad movies!) Her beautiful crocheted afghans were treasured by many. Thinking about others before herself, she was a happy and kind person that everyone loved. Beloved wife of Frank J. Hamski. Cherished sister of the late Evelyn McArdle (John), and the following, all deceased: Dorothy Pesho (Stephen), Alan (Fran), and Paul (Dorothy). Daughter of the late Paul Hedervary and Julia (nee Behum). Grandmother of Melissa (Missy) Weed, David Weed, Devin Reed, Brittney Buzzard, and the late Ashley Anne Buzzard. Great-grandmother of three. Dear Aunt of many. Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted at a future date. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Holy Family Hospice, 6707 State Rd. Parma, Ohio 44134.
