Betty Lvonne Hayes' Obituary
Betty Lvonne Hayes, 88, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away on May 30, 2024. She was born on May 22, 1936 in Cleveland to Abdul Karman and Elizabeth (nee. Leimback) Karman. She was a beloved mother to Selene (Brad) Lockshine; cherished grandmother to Senetia Lockshine (deceased) and Samantha (SaMarre) Perez; beloved great-grandmother to Elijah Perez; cherished sister Sally (Charles) Kerr. Along with her parents and granddaughter she was proceeded in death by her siblings Louis Karman (deceased) and Deilia Kouzda (deceased)
Betty loved spending time tending to her garden, especially her cherry tomato bushes and roses. She enjoyed her morning coffee just as much as watching Wheel of Fortune in the evening. She was proud of her Albanian heritage and being graduate of Kent State. She retired from an impressive 28-year career at Cleveland Public Schools teaching 3rd and 4th graders, but always stayed involved in her church. She loved her family, friends, and church family. If you were a friend of Betty, you were a friend for life to her.
Betty’s visitation will be Wednesday June 5, 2024 from 10am - 12pm Followed by a service at 12pm.
In lieu of flowers the family asks you to donate to the Samaritan's purse or New Life Wesleyan Church.
