Betty Evelyn Lowery's Obituary
Betty Evelyn Lowery, 87, of Olmsted Township, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023. She was born June 25, 1936, in Newport, Tennessee to the late William and Janie (nee Dunn) Lewis.
Betty moved from Newport, Tennessee to Cleveland, Ohio, in 1957, where she raised her five children and went on to be blessed with her seven grandkids and 15 great-grandkids, which were her life’s greatest blessings. Throughout Betty’s lifetime, she loved and nurtured many nieces and nephews. Her faith was very important to her. She enjoyed her Bible work and listening to Christian music.
“Honey, my biggest blessings in my life is my kids, my grandkids and my great grandkids”.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, James R. Lowery and Curley Lowery Jr.; father of her children, Curley Lowery Sr.; siblings, Nora M. Manning, Dorothy Jenkins, Frank Lewis, Mary Edith Valentine, and Johnny Lewis.
She is survived by her loving family including her children, Linda (Terry Eden) Lowery, Tommy (Bernice) Lowery and Sheila (Julio) Rivera; grandchildren, Janie (Fernando) Torres, Robert (Nichole) Williamson, Justin Lowery, Amanda Ostromek, Jessilyn Lowery, Lee (Audrey) Cover, and Brandon Lowery; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 3:00 to 7:00PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 10:00AM. Her final resting place will be at West Park Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio.
