Blanche L. Griffin's Obituary
Blanche L. Griffin, age 81, of Elyria, Ohio passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025. Born on July 1, 1944, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Blanche was the beloved daughter of the late Lester and Frances Fuller (née Webb).
Blanche is survived by her loving sons Charles (Karen), Brian (Candy), and Daryl (Heidi) Griffin; her cherished grandchildren, Tiffany Gatlin, Adam Griffin, Amy Griffin, Jamie Smith, and Cherie Nichols; and her adored great-grandchildren, Amias, Miles, Liam, Eliana, Neeley, and Elijah. She will also be deeply missed by her sister and brother, Aileen Sharp and Howard Fuller.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Mary Dore and Brenda Ballek, and her daughter-in-law Heidi Griffin.
Blanche dedicated over 20 years as a produce manager at Kroger and later retired from Marc’s Grocery Store as produce manager where she had worked for 10 years. Blanche also loved to volunteer at York’s Food Pantry with her son Brian for 13 years. She had a passion for gardening, especially planting daisies and pussy-willow trees, and found joy in nurturing life around her. Above all, Blanche loved her family and was adored by many for her warmth and kindness.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5th, 2025, from 10am-12pm at Sunset Legacy Chapel, 6451 Columbia Road, Olmsted Township, Ohio 44070. A funeral service will follow immediately after at 12:00 PM in the chapel. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
Blanche’s legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
