Len & Eddie:
Bonnie and I worked together for many years at Parker. It was a shock to hear of her passing. She was a thoughtful, caring person. Through the many years, she always looked out for my best interests; making sure my correspondence and travels arrangements were done correctly. I could always count on her.
Whenever someone in the office would be going to Las Vegas, she always gave that person a dollar to put in a slot for her. No one ever won her money. I changed that on a trip I made. I matched her dollar with one of my own and exchanged the two dollars for nickels. Putting two in at a time, we “won” 4 dollars and split it when I returned.
Whenever I went on vacation to Hawaii, I always sent her postcards from paradise! Those postcards created a quite a splash in the office.
It was funny after she first hired in. We discovered that we went to Pleasant Valley Junior High, Valley Forge High School, and Divinity Lutheran Church together. Talk about coincidences!
I am very saddened at her passing. This is a loss to you Len and Eddie; and you have my sympathy! I can imagine her sitting down with a cold beer after an afternoon of either fishing, golfing, boating, or just watching nature. Besides being with the two of you, that was her happy place.
