Brenda Garner Gainer Baker's Obituary
Brenda Garner Gainer Baker, 68, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on January 11, 2023. Beloved mother of Tiffany Gainer, Jessica Gainer (Patrick), Charles Baker III (Regina) and Chad Baker; cherished Nana of Bobby, Joshua and Nathen; and loving sister and best friend of Linda McCrae, Kay Smith and Paula Kelly (Tod). Dearest aunt, cousin and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Macon Garner, and brother Ray Garner.
Brenda fought a valiant battle against cancer the last eleven years. Many of those years she was healthy and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling, going to the theater, game nights with her kids and grandkids, family gatherings, sister weekends at Marblehead and her monthly card games with the girls.
It would be wrong to say Brenda lost her battle with cancer because she never stopped fighting. Right up to the end she was willing to try any treatment that doctors suggested. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.
She was a loving and caring woman and always there for anyone who needed her. She may be gone physically but her spirit will live on forever in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew her.

Visitation and memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 11am - 1pm at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A reception in Brenda's honor will follow the committal service from 2pm - 4:00 pm also at the Sunset Chapel.
