Bruce Smith's Obituary
Bruce Smith, 89, was born on September 14, 1934, to the late Bem and Florence Smith. Son-in-law of the late Floyd and Marian Meyerink.
Bruce was a faithful member and Elder of New Hope Reformed Church for 39 years. He worked at the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 40 years. He was an avid woodworker, enjoyed gardening, reading, golfing, and completing every kind of puzzle. Bruce was a devoted family man and a true Cleveland sports fan. He was respected, revered and loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Bruce passed away on April 26, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Lyn Smith. Cherished father of Kevin (Terri) Smith, Kathy (John) Charette, Craig (Anita Knuth) Smith, and Carrie (Anthony) Cirino.
Loving grandfather of Phil Smith, Michelle (Ericka Grover) Smith, Eric (Dilyn) Smith, Andrew (Anne) Charette, Adam (Allison Terrazas) Charette, Jake (Jamie) Charette, Joe Charette, Mason Knuth, Spencer Knuth, Emmett Knuth, Ella Cirino, and Nicolas Cirino. Great-grandfather of Alice Charette, Eleanore Charette, Xzavier Grover, and Summer Grover.
Dear brother of the late Cora (Ed) Strawbridge and the late Ruth (Ken) Hollingsworth. Brother-in-law of the late Paul R. (Dorothy) Meyerink.
Visitation is Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Service is Friday, May 3, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
