Carl Harold Mollison's Obituary
Carl Harold Mollison, age 95, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. Born on September 7, 1929, to the late William Bohn and Mamie Mollison, Carl lived a life made whole by hard work, and love for his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Judy; his children Jeff (Mary) Mollison, Kathryn (Jamie) Feldman, and Jim (Stacey) Mollison; grandchildren Matt (Kristen) Mollison, Jessie (Sean) McNamara, Katie Feldman, and Isabella Mollison; great-grandchildren Payten and Corbit Mollison; sister Beverly Mollison; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his siblings Esther Pippin, Jeanette Loebs, Audrey Gabel, Joyce Tutkovics, and Robert Mollison.
Raised on a farm in Columbia Station as the oldest boy in a family of nine, his daily chore was cranking the old pickup truck to get it running. That farm life stayed with him always in the garden he tended at home, full of tomatoes and vegetables.
He dedicated 34 years of service to Columbia Gas, where he earned many awards. It was there he met his wife, Judy. He passed by her office daily until he finally asked her out with the encouragement from friends. Their first date was at Norwalk Raceway, and the rest was history. Carl won over Judy’s mom with bouquets of gladiolus grown on the farm. The two were married and spent many years together building a family legacy.
Carl had an eye for vintage cars, and a talent for woodworking. His greatest love was ice cream, and even in his final months he had a chocolate milkshake with every meal.
Above all, Carl was a family man. After long days at work, he came home not to rest, but to be there with his family sharing stories, and love. He took joy in his children and both his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation will take place September 8 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm with a service to start immediately at 2:00 pm at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted 44070.
