Carmia Jean Payne's Obituary
Carmia Jean Payne – age 87 of North Ridgeville, Ohio passed away on December 5th 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
Carmia was born in Pea Patch West Virginia, where she met and married the love of her life…Thurman Roscoe Payne, her husband of more than 68 years.
Carmia had a great faith and belief in God and was a member of the Cathedral of Life church in North Ridgeville, where her son Mike is the Pastor.
Carmia loved to worship God and could always be seen raising her hands in “Praise” during the churches powerful worship services, she was also active in the Ladies of Faith ministry in her church.
Carmia is proceeded in death by her parents Isiah and Oma Breeden, her sisters Olaf Nelson and Lois Sizemore and her brother, Leonard Breeden.
Carmia is survived by her husband Thurman, 4 sons Randy, Mike, Mark and Keith and their wives Bonnie, Loreen, Gail and Charmaine as well as her sister Meldia Childers. Carmia maintained a very close bond with her sister until she went on to be with the Lord.
Carmia stood beside her husband during his years as union President and showed strong support by welcoming activist Rosa Parks, top Ford CEO’s and political leaders from across the country such as Senator Edward Kennedy to Local 1250.
Carmia loved her family and she especially loved her grandkids. Carmia is survived by her grandchildren; Sandra, Micah, Andrew, Mark Eliot, Alicia, Justin, Timothy J, Kyle Payne, Melanie Criss and Malina Jackson.
Carmia loved and is also survived by her great grandchildren; Tyler and Nathaniel Criss, Joe, Austin, Logan and Meira Jackson, Kaylee, Micah Jr, Emma, Levi, Audrey, Elias, Jeremy, Grayson, Deacon, Lydia, Calvin Payne and Matthew Groene.
Friends and family visitation hours will be 3-6 PM on December 9th 2019 with a celebration of her life to immediately follow at 6 PM at the Cathedral of Life church at 5375 Jaycox Road in North Ridgeville, Ohio 44039
There will be a private family service at the Sunset Memorial Park at 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070 on December 10th 2019.
Carmia Payne will be dearly missed by all that came in contact with her.
