Carol A Corrigan's Obituary
Carol A. Corrigan, 93, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025. She was born on November 18, 1931, in Barker, New York, to the late Charles and Leota Swann.
Carol was a smart, independent woman with a spitfire attitude and a deep love for her family.
Carol is survived by her children: Sue (Spencer) Seaman, Connie (Mark) Hulbert, Dan (Judy) Corrigan, Tom (Cyndi) Corrigan, Colleen (Tom) Zitello, Karen (Jeff) Gabel, and Judy (Jeff) Koeth; grandchildren: Kevin (Megan), Megan (Fiancé, Graham), Chris (Lauren), Stacy (Ryan), Molly (Chris), Tom (Izzy), Joey, Dan (Jordan), Caitlin (Chris), Brooke, Brett, Jessica, and Ian; great-grandchildren: Madeleine, Emma, Ethan, Rowan, Carys, Teddy, Birdie, Jackson, Everett, Eileen, Connor, Elliot, and Samantha. Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward J. Corrigan, with whom she spent many loving years until his passing in 1992. Her siblings, Wesley and Calvin Swann predeceased her.
Carol cherished her large family and enjoyed every moment they spent together. She loved their vacations, especially to the Outer Banks, New England, Wyoming and Colorado. She enjoyed skiing, even into her 80s, with her favorite memory being a trip to the Alps with Ed during his military service.
Her children will always remember her fondly for her avid sports fandom, often rooting for the teams like Michigan or Dallas who were not the local fan favorites. She enjoyed reading and played the bagpipes. Above all, her family will remember the love and care she provided, especially through her cooking. Carol was an excellent cook and baker, known for her pork chops, chow mein, lasagna, nut and poppyseed rolls.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10:00 am, with family greeting time starting at 9:30 am at St. Ladislas Catholic Parish, 2345 Bassett Rd, Westlake, OH 44145.
Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070 immediately following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Ladislas Church.
