Carol June Jacquemain's Obituary
Carol June (Ludwig) Jacquemain, 86 of Strongsville, OH, went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2020. She was the daughter of Peter and Josephine Ludwig and the loving wife of Homer Jacquemain. Carol was born in Cleveland, OH on June 7, 1934. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1953. She went on to work in the clerical and accounting field before getting married to Alfred Mance and settling in Parma, OH to raise a family.
During those years, Carol was a wonderful homemaker, raising three children, volunteering for school events, lots of extra-curriculars, Sunday School Teacher, Church Choir and later went to work as a savings counselor at Broadview Savings and Charter One. She loved family and making memories whether it was entertaining at her home or visiting relatives and she was a trooper... camping, at the ball fields and horse arena. But the family’s greatest memories during those early years were spent on vacations and whether it was an hour away or trips across the country, a trailer was always behind the station wagon. And while camping or swimming in a lake wouldn't have been her first choice, she did it for her family.
Faith and family meant everything to Carol and when she wasn't with the kids, you could hear her singing hymns in the house, working the books for the family business, bowling or at a weekly Bible study. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 91, providing her both courage and comfort. Carol's favorite declaration came to be... Victory in Jesus... and family and friends knew her to be a prayer warrior!
Years later, Carol started another chapter after meeting Homer Jacquemain. They were married in September 1980 and spent the next decades traveling to Hawaii, various cruises and boating on inland lakes. Years later they found Florida's climate a bit more favorable and purchased a winter retreat for 5 months of the year. Carol was an official snow-bird and she and Homer soaked up the sun, walked the beaches and explored quaint towns along the gulf.
Carol is survived by her daughter Leslie Pisczak and husband Spencer, their 3 children Ashley (Max), Danielle and Chandler; son Terry Mance and wife Carolyn, daughter Emily; and son David and wife Cocoa, their 4 children Branden, Matthew, Courtney and Jordan; and great-grandchild Lyric and Logan.
The family of Carol Jacquemain would like to especially thank all the wonderfully compassionate and kind caregivers at Heartland Hospice.
Visitation will take place on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 11AM – 12PM in the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070 where funeral service will commence at 12PM.
Memorial contributions in Carol’s name are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
