Carol Jean Krampitz's Obituary
Carol Jean Krampitz (nee Kogler), age 85, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2023, after a long illness. She was born on September 25, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Frank and Emilie Kogler (nee Seifert). Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Krampitz. Carol will be deeply missed by her children, Paul David Krampitz and his wife Wendy and Robert Carl Krampitz and his wife Michele. She was the cherished grandmother of Zachary Krampitz, Jaclyn Krampitz, Joshua Krampitz (wife Jenifer), Holly Krampitz, Benjamin Krampitz, and Sofia Krampitz. She is survived by her sister Susan Hill (husband Kent) and loving aunt of Christopher Hill (wife Laurence) and Jenifer Cruz (husband Alejandro). Carol graduated from Parma High School and lived in Parma all of her adult life. Before she married, she worked at NASA and then worked at her parent’s store Kogler Appliance and Jewelry. After it closed, she worked for many years at Cleveland State University as an administrative assistant. She will be greatly missed by many lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 4-7 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Services, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 1:00pm also at the Sunset Chapel. Visitation will happen prior to the service from 12-1pm. The family welcomes you to join in a reception in Carol’s honor after interment at Sunset Chapel.
