Carol was Joanne Pleska’s (Married Paul Pleska) Maid of Honor and they were the best of friends all throughout their youth and adult life. She was a close family friend of ours. Paul and Joanne had two boys Bob Pleska (Fran) and Ken Pleska (Hilary) Both stayed in touch with Carol often. We all thoroughly enjoyed her company and friendly spirit. Carol was a beautiful person inside and out. Always classy, polite, and elegant. Carol was a rare breed and will be missed dearly.

My mom, Shirley and Carol were the best of friends. After my moms’ stroke Carol called her every day for months. Mom really looked forward to hearing from her even as her hearing was failing. Those calls brought her a lot of joy and kept them connected. They looked out for each other, whether it was a reminder that Lawrence Welk was on tv, or if one of them had an extra pork chop :-) or had gotten some 1/2 priced goodies at The Black Bird!

So grateful that I had the opportunity to know Carol as a student in the Silver Sneakers Splash class at RR Rec Center. Her kind smile, gentle spirit, and enthusiastic dedication to joining the group regularly remained an inspiration even after she stopped attending regularly. Peace and comfort to the entire family.
