Carol June Sifritt's Obituary
Carol June Sifritt, 91, of Westlake, Ohio, passed on Friday, June 10, 2022. Carol was born on April 07, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to William and Sylvia Mather. Carol was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, William E. Sifritt, brother, William K. Mather Sr., great-grandson Sawyer and lifelong best friend, Jane. Carol is survived by her son, William D. (Melanie) Sifritt; grandchildren, Amber (Javad) Reshad, David Sifritt, Emily (John) Raponi, and Carly (fiancé, Adam Smith) Sifritt; great-granddaughter, Maggie; as well as her loving and devoted companion, Rick Hoyt and dear friend, Beth (Grant) Comnick.
Carol was an elegant woman with impeccacable taste whom greatly appreciated the arts and music and any opportunity that she had, to attend a live performance of both. In her downtime, she was a consumate lover of classic Hallmark movies, quality entertainment and enjoying fine cuisne with those around her. She found great joy in card and letter writing and sharing meaningful conversations with friends, family and everyone that she came in contact with. She seemed to make a new friend everywhere she went, while still maintaining the meaningful ones from her past. Carol always began each day with a bright outlook and a positive demeanor. Her tenacity for enjoying life and living it to the fullest, kept her sharp, strong and brave, to the very end. Because of these qualities, she was able to find love a second time in life, with Rick Hoyt. They enjoyed a rich and fulfilling relationship that brought her a fairytale ending to her final chapter.
Visitation is Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 10AM – 12PM at Sunset Funeral Services, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, where light refreshments and pastries will be provided. The funeral service will directly follow at 12PM, also at the same location.
