Carol Ann Smith, 81, of Brunswick, Ohio passed away peacefully on October 30, 2022. She was born on October 9, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late William Abraham Dewald and Juanita Margaret Dewald (nee Mahon). Carol had a zeal for life and adored children. She also enjoyed gardening. Carol will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Bruce H. Smith; loving mother of Scott Payne; cherished grandmother of Tiffany (William) Peet, Derek Payne, and Deven Payne; great-grandmother of Lacey, Lucas, and Levi; her loving caregiver and daughter-in-law, Melissa Payne; sister of Jim Dewald, Louise Webster, and Bill Dewald; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
