Carol A. Wilson's Obituary
Carol A. Wilson (nee Bogus), age 63 of Cleveland, passed away September 30, 2021. Daughter of Dorothy and the late Dr. Robert Bogus; loving mother of Dr. Ami, Phillip and Walter; cherished grandmother of Gwen and Cora Schwartz and Wade Wilson; former wife of Brian Wilson.
A talented artist who created beautiful sculptures, murals, oil paintings, and woodworkings. She also sketched incredibly surreal landscapes and creatures to the delight of her children (Dr. Ami, Phillip, and Walter) and her husband Brian. She loved her mother: Dorothy, and enjoyed spending time with her sister Donna, her brother Billy, as well as the rest of her 10 brothers and sisters.
She opened her home to numerous neighborhood children and family friends and would take in whomever needed a safe place without any hesitation. She didn't judge people and always made herself available to help in any capacity that she could manage. Many of the neighborhood children called her Mom. Carol had a soft spot for animals, taking in strays or nursing orphaned animals until they could be set free. She had a particular reverence for her dog Baron, of whom many of her works of art were based on.
She was always trying to improve, be it by reading books, or studying in some way. She had an ironic sense of humor, and every bit of her rubbed off on those around her. She spent the final years of her life battling an incurable illness, which inevitably took her. Even in her final days: she was still fighting to overcome it.
May she rest in peace.
Private family services will be held.
