Caron Rae Carter Albert's Obituary
Caron Rae Carter Albert, age 75, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on April 12, 1950, Caron was the cherished daughter of the late Ray L. and Elizabeth Dempsey Carter, who loved and raised her as the greatest gift life could offer. Their unwavering devotion shaped her childhood with warmth, stability, and deep affection—creating a foundation of love that Caron carried with her throughout her life.
At the age of 40, Caron reunited with her birth mother, Lois E. Myers, a moment that marked the beginning of a deeply meaningful and loving mother-daughter relationship. Along with Lois, Caron also gained the unexpected and joyful knowledge that she had seven half-siblings. Vickilynne, Kelli, Scott, Bill, Tammy, Laura and Lisa. Though she was raised as an only child, she embraced her newfound family with open arms and an open heart. She loved sharing this part of her story—it was a testament to her belief that family is formed not just by birth, but by love.
Caron was the beloved wife of the late Gerald “Gary” Albert, who was the love of her life. Together, they not only built a life—they built a legacy. After both losing their jobs in their late 30s, Caron and Gary took a leap of faith and entered the real estate market to work side by side together. Caron took immense pride in what they accomplished, a testament to their love, partnership, determination, and shared vision for their future.
She was especially proud to be the mother of Heather (Joe) Turner, a child she brought into this world after 36 hours of labor, and her greatest joy. Their bond was one of deep connection, friendship, and unconditional love—an anchor throughout both of their lives.
Through her marriage to Gary, Caron’s love extended naturally to Christine (Mike) Oravetz and Scott Albert embracing them with a mother’s heart. She cherished them as if they were her own, feeling deep respect, affection, and gratitude for the joy they brought into her life.
Caron was also a loving and proud grandmother to Caitlyn (Steven Hauer) Turner, Nathan Turner, Joe Oravetz, Kristen (Chris) Jerkins, and Tony (Cassie) Oravetz, and a delighted great-grandmother to four.
She shared a special connection with her dearest lifelong friends, Sheila Auffert and Linda Albert, who were constant sources of love and laughter and of course, some mischief.
Caron was known for her unwavering kindness, her quiet strength, and her ability to make anyone feel at home. Her life was defined by love—not only in the family she was born into and the one she discovered later, but especially in the family she built and nurtured every day. Her gentle wisdom, heartfelt stories, and joyful spirit will continue to inspire all who were lucky enough to know her.
To honor Caron’s humor, bold spirit, and love of a good time, please join us to celebrate her life and listen for the songs she insisted were played: “Another One Bites the Dust,” “Celebration,” and “Dancing Queen.” It’s exactly how she wanted to be remembered—with music, laughter, and love.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 12:00–2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM.
