Charles H. Brewster, Jr., age 87 of Westlake, passed away November 3, 2019. dear son of the late Charles Sr. and Margaret; beloved husband of 60 years to Betty; loving father of Laura Brewster (John Hannibal), Julie (Dan) Kondrich, Debbie, Pastor Charles III (Candice), Jeff, Jennifer, Mark (Rebecca), Betsy (Andy) Wasiniak and the baby boy who preceded him in death; cherished grandfather of Alicia, Emily (Kevin Smith), Danny, Jason, Erik, Hudson, Kyler, Colton, Caiden, Kari, Kalyn, Kael, Isabelle, Emma, Scott, Sophia, Katie, Laurel and Jack; great grandfather of Jayne, Henry and James; brother of the late Mary (Frank) Lynch and the late Anne (Steve) Foerstner; brother in law of Mary Lu (George) Wasmer, Armand Schwind, Bill (Jan) Schwind, Dick (Jodi) (Margaret Mary, deceased), Alice (Phil) Pier, Cathi Schwind (Larry Herold) and the late Margaret (George) Mason.
Chuck was a kind and generous person who was loved by all. He had a contagious sense of humor, irresistible and thorough, volunteered at soup kitchens, loved sports and enjoyed taking long drives in the car with his love, Betty. He also had a strong faith in the Lord and was a devoted usher at St. Ladislas Catholic Church. He was in the first class at Gilmore Academy and graduated from John Carroll University.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 3-6 PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd. North Olmsted. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11 AM at St. Ladislas Catholic Church, 2345 Bassett Rd. Westlake.
The family suggests donations may be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, P.O. Box 72101, Cleveland, OH 44192, or to a Veterans Organization of one’s choice.
